Interested in being part of a cross-cultural ministry team? While at this time you may not be able to go overseas, by extending care to someone serving in another culture you can be an active part of the team and have a huge impact on missions!  Caring for missionaries is comparable to being there for a good friend.  It requires time, energy, commitment, and a willingness to be a safe person for someone in need.  Just as with a good friendship, caring for missionaries can be a very fulfilling and satisfying endeavor – with eternal consequences.   If you think God might be leading you to make such a commitment, this workshop is for you. We will talk about how one enters into such an endeavor, what it looks like, and how you can make an eternal difference in the lives of others.  At the same time you will find your own life greatly enriched. Our prayer is that this workshop will be a blessing to all those who come as well as provide insight into strategic ministry opportunities.

Since effective cross-cultural ministry thrives through a team’s investment, this workshop is designed to help those in supporting churches develop teams to care for their missionaries.  Therefore we encourage participants to bring a group from their church in order to begin the process of creating a care team.

The ideal scenario, although not required, is for the missions pastor/leader to come and bring at least two others, including male, female, and generational differences.

The conference will be held at Village Baptist Church, 330 SW Murray Blvd, Beaverton, OR 97005
